SquareJelly Goes Open Source!
Visit the Project at Google Code
Since 2001, SquareJelly has proven to be a valuable solution for businesses managing Intranets and public information web sites.
Now SquareJelly is evolving into a more generic data management solution for more than just web site content. We're aiming to make it easy for anyone to add database functionality to a new or existing website with as little as one line of code.

A Quick Update
The holidays have given me a few extra hours to tie up some loose ends and start taking a hard look at the Dojo Toolkit as SquareJelly's default UI framework. Honestly, as much as I like what I see in the Dojo Toolkit, getting Dojo to work properly is a rather painful experience.
I am currently looking at the The Yahoo! User Interface Library as a possible alternative.
If anyone has experience with Dojo, YUI or another UI framework, please feel free to send me your comments: brad.micallef(at)gmail.com.
Also, I have been outlining documentation for the previously mentioned core classes and overall arcitechture, but would like to get the code to at least an ALPHA release before diverting my attention from development to documentation.
Finally, I have asked the Google Code Hosting group to reset the SVN repository, as I am experiencing numerous errors when I try to commit the latest changes to the posted source code.

Core Classes in Code Base Completed
As of today, the functional core classes have been completed and are being tested against temporary GUIs I am mocking up in HTML to test out the intended functionality.
I expect to have the test interfaces completed and debugged over the weekend. The source code repoisitory will be updated this weekend with the changes.
Next up on the roadmap is to post more information about the core classes and overall arcitecture of SquareJelly to the Google Code Wiki. After that, the temporary interfaces will be redeveloped using the the Dojo Toolkit. Once completed, I'll post the first ALPHA release as a download. ETA is January 1, 2008 ...

Google Code Choosen for Project Hosting
For sheer simplicity and the advantage of existing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Docs, Google Calendar and Gmail I am extreamly pleased to now use Google Code for the hosting of my Open Source projects.
While my initial project's footprint is rather small at the moment, expect weekly growth as content and source updates are posted. Please visit the project page for addition information: SquareJelly.
